Why Ultralight?

Built For The Hot Miles.

Better Airflow

The 90 gsm fabric keeps things light and breezy when the trail turns hot, steep or both.

Sun Coverage

UPF 40 protection helps take the edge off long, exposed days without adding a heavier layer.

Dries Fast

Sweat, creek crossings and surprise storms happen. Lightweight fabric means less time carrying that moisture around.

Fit Note

A Little Slimmer.

Ultralight styles run slimmer than our standard sun hoodies. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, size up.

A Heads Up

Ultralight Means Ultralight.

At 90 gsm, this is our lightest sun hoodie fabric. It is designed for airflow, low bulk and packability rather than maximum abrasion resistance.

We do not recommend it for bushwhacking, scrambling or regular high-friction use. Snags or tears caused by rough terrain or sharp objects are not covered under warranty.

Heading somewhere rough? Our standard-weight sun hoodies are the better tool for the job.

The Steller's Jay

where is The Steller's Jay

Commonly Found

Steller’s Jays are most at home in the mountain forests of the West, from coastal ranges to high alpine pines. You’ll see them flaring those electric blue feathers anywhere there are tall trees, good views, and unsuspecting hikers with snacks. They’re regulars along the PCT, Sierra trails, Cascades ridges, and just about every Western campsite where someone drops a crumb. If your miles take you through conifers and quiet mornings, expect a Steller’s Jay to show up with plenty of attitude.
