The Grid Fleece Pullover is designed as part of a layering system when paired with our sun hoodies.  Wear it as a stand alone insulation layer or under a wind shell.

Fit: they run long in the sleeves and body so you may want to size down a size.

The thumb hole cuffs and double layered hood help to set this grid fleece apart in warmth.

True-To-Trail Print: Inspired by Papa Cucumbers favorite bird, the Eastern Bluebird.

The home range of the Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) varies depending on the season and habitat. During the breeding season, bluebirds are territorial, with a home range typically between 1 to 5 acres (0.4 to 2 hectares). This range centers around the nest site and feeding areas, which are often in open fields or meadows. Males actively defend their territory from other bluebirds using vocalizations and displays.

In the winter, bluebirds become less territorial and may form loose flocks. Their home range can expand as they forage over a larger area for food, especially in southern parts of their range where they may migrate or stay year-round. The size of their home range is influenced by food availability and habitat quality, with better habitats supporting smaller, more concentrated ranges. Overall, Eastern Bluebirds’ home ranges are relatively small compared to many other bird species.

Commonly Found

Eastern Bluebirds can be found across most of the eastern and central United States. The dual layer hood is appreciated

The dual layer hood is appreciated. The fleece is also slightly thicker than the fabric in my Sambob hoodie. A flap behind the zipper would be nice. I'm not a fan of the tight elastic at the wrist. An adjustable nylon strip around the wrist with variable snaps?

I love these 1/4 zips

I love these 1/4 zips. With a rain jacket and potentially a sun hoodie/ base layer under it, it's the right amount of warmth on those cold days.

Nice addition to my layers

Love everything about my hoodie, I gave it a four because the hood needs to be a little taller can be a little uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend this product.

Eyed it at Trail Days but only had room in pack for one additional piece

Eyed it at Trail Days but only had room in pack for one additional piece, so got the 7 Peaks since it was May. Loved that this was a special for fall. Got a Melly which is nice for my NOLS classes and scenarios, but this is the one I wear under my HMG pack. Gotta love the local vibe when I'm on trail!

Perfect for chilly mornings and evening

This is a great way to take the chill off on those early morning starts. Extremely comfortable, lightweight and just warm enough. Packs down small.

Well made and robust!

I originally ordered a size down (XS) because the sizing is unisex, but actually my normal S should fit better. Dylan was awesome and responsive to send out the better fitting size to me. I like the weight of it, and I like that with a S I can use it as a midlayer with base layer underneath. It will be my go-to piece for winter adventures! The comfort and warmth of this piece and its styling is just right. Expect to see me out there sporting it on some hut trips this season!

Another slay by TS

Fits great, just like the regular town shirts, and with the same kangaroo pocket and thumb holes which I love. Very very soft, very very warm and cozy, haven't weighed it yet but it doesn't feel too heavy. Definitely my new go-to hoodie.

Bringing on My Next Thru Hike

Bought this in anticipation of my next thru hike. Very warm, comfortable, and seems very functional. Probably can't replace a puffy jacket for alpine hiking, but I imagine it would be an amazing mid-layer for the coldest times and a great outer layer for other applications. I'd also like to add how awesome this thing looks while you wear it, red and black is a great color combination and you'll definitely stand out in this. Solid price and a great addition to my hiking collection!

I really like the softness of this pullover. I have not figured out yet if I will use it as a second layer or as my sleep shirt.

The best of the best

As a fan of Town Shirt I was super psyched when they released the micro grid fleece. It didn’t disappoint. This thing is da bomb! So warm and comfortable. The day it came in, I put it on and ended up sleeping in it! I ordered it a size up because I love a baggie and long fleece to wear with leggings. No overheating inside and so warm outside.
The material is soft to the touch and feels great on your skin. It moves with you and there’s nothing stiff feeling about it like some other fleeces on the market.
The zipper feature is great so you can vent a little outside, or let your Town Shirt short sleeve poke through! It also makes it easier to take on and off.
The colors on both options are beautiful and so vibrant.
Definitely has become my go to fleece. I plan on ordering another a size smaller to throw in my pack for early spring and late fall backpacking. Get it. You won’t regret it .

Awesome!

I got this awesome fleece for Christmas and it's so warm and comfy! It's perfect for everything, inside or out – I stay warm outside but don't overheat inside. Love the thumbholes and the zipper on the neck that makes it easy to slip on without taking off my hat, headset, or glasses. Love love love! I haven't worn a different fleece since I got this one! Also, thanks Town Shirr for making this if my fave color combination.

My new favorite fleece

I’ve been training for my next big bikepacking adventure over the past few weeks, and the new Town Shirt Grid Fleece has been an absolute game-changer! On these cold days 25 and below It’s incredibly warm, super comfortable, and packed with thoughtful features. The hood provides excellent coverage, the zip allows for easy venting, and the thumb loops keep the sleeves in place during activity. Plus, the kangaroo pocket is perfect for keeping hands warm or stashing small essentials. This piece is a must-have and has earned a permanent spot on my gear list. Highly recommend it!

My Fav Sweater

This is my go-to sweater when I am looking for warmth but not something that is going to smother me when I start on the trail for the day. Its moisture-wicking and is also super bright which I love for photos. Super comfortable and my favorite sweater for any day outside or in.

WOW

Honestly, this has been my go-to sweater since I got it. It's warm but also moisture-wicking, so it's my go-to on hikes in Montana mid-weather. It's also super colorful, and I get compliments on it everywhere I go. PLUS, if you're a birder, this is definitely the sweater for you!!

The Devil Is In the Details

Amazing. I have not stopped wearing it since purchased.
As the title says, the details is what takes this from a good layer, to great.
-The extra length helps keep it in place and prevent draft when being active, working or just walking.
-The double layer hood added what I never knew I was missing in my other, similar layers.
-The quarter-zip/high neck provides extra warmth when needed (on beer break) but also allows for breath ability when threat of overheating is imminent.

All-in-all a good hoodie: well made, great material, and awesome fit but the extra features are what takes this good to great.

Review

The double hood is my favorite part. I have had microgrids in the past but this has quickly become my new favorite. The fit is great for a back pack (its is true they run a little long) I'm typically a large and got a large for my order and I like how its a little longer length over the waist and arms. Quality materials and seams. Would recommend.

Such good quality, and warm!

I really love the weight of this fleece. I have other microgrids that aren't actually warm when worn alone, making it hard to find a good time to wear them. The double-layer hood on this is so nice because I don't feel the need to wear a hat underneath on cold days. I plan to wear this snowboarding as a mid-layer on cold days, so the thumb holes are a MAJOR win as well! Overall the material is a great quality, the features (hood, thumbholes, zipper) are really nice, and I am a huge fan of this more vibrant color which is very on par for Town Shirt! Thanks for another great product release!

Pretty perfect, holding with town shirt quality and comfort. My only qualm is that it runs a little large, consider sizing down
